Blue morning glory in New Zealand

Blue morning glory (Ipomoea indica) is an invasive species in New Zealand.

It is classed as an unwanted organism under the Biosecurity Act 1993 and it is therefore illegal to sell, propagate and distribute the plant.[1] It is listed on the National Pest Plant Accord.

The plant is found in gardens, waste places, forest margins and plantations, predominantly in the North Island.[2]
